1. Agreement
These terms govern your access to and use of the Hakiki platform and API. By integrating with or using the services, you agree to them on behalf of the institution you represent.
2. Eligibility and access
Access is granted to approved institutions for legitimate verification purposes. We issue API credentials per environment; you are responsible for keeping them secret and for all activity under your credentials.
3. Acceptable use
- Run verifications only where you have a lawful basis and the data subject's consent.
- Do not use the services to harass, profile unlawfully, or discriminate.
- Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or authentication.
- Do not resell or expose the API to unauthorised third parties.
4. Consent and compliance
You are responsible for obtaining and recording valid consent from data subjects and for complying with the Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, anti-money-laundering obligations, and other applicable law in your use of the services.
5. Service availability
We work to keep the services available and accurate, but verification results depend on connected sources. The services are provided on an “as available” basis and specific availability commitments, if any, are set out in your service agreement.
6. Fees
Fees, if applicable, are set out in your order or service agreement.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited as set out in your service agreement. Verification outcomes are indicative and do not replace your own compliance judgement.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or misuse of the services. Your audit records are retained as required by law.
